“ Love everything here BUT... the new bread supplier is a big fail. If supermarket baked bread is a 3 of 10 the previous bread supplier was 8.5/10 but the new stuff is 4/10. Dry and relatively tastless. Comes off as a day old. The bread was a highlight but now it's the worst part of my home made sandwich with the great coldcuts and toppings. Hope they will agree it was a mistake and go back to the best bread I've ever found. ”
“ Wow was it busy at lunch. Long line and I thought it would move quicker so make sure you aren't in a rush. I went with the italian tuna special sandwich. It was good but found it a little dry. It also needed more acidity. The staff works clean which is always good to see. I would come back to try another sandwich. The antipasto salad was good. Nice balance of acidity and saltiness. There is street parking and I didn't have a hard time getting a spot. Not dying to come back but if I was in the area I would. 3.5 stars is about right. ”
“ It's always a treat to stop by Sergio's and order a few things. You can order online or over the phone for takeout--street parking in the heart of Downtown Denville. We love many things, but the fresh mozzarella and prosciutto are always too good to pass up. They're always super fresh, and there's never much left after we bring around friends or family. It's delicious. Enjoy. ”
“ I was able to FINALLY get this well recommended deli after months and I was amazed at how good it was. Food: I ended up getting a #7 but opted to add spicy mayo. Even though they did not have any on site, the deli worker (whose name I did not get) was kind enough to mix some up for me. The sandwich, a breaded chicken cutlet, mozz, and roasted peppers was AMAZING, and the mozz reminded me of old home in Hudson County. I will definitely get back there when I get a chance. Service: can be said again, the deli worker was excellent and super nice. Aesthetic: awesome storefront with tons of italian fare in the front and a huge deli counter in the back. Deceivingly small but packed and a very good flow. ”

“ My wife is a vegetarian so I'm always seeking salad items for her lunch. Sergio's has a few that Rick. Sicilian Beets salad is her favorite, a new iteration, carrots and almonds made her make yummy noises. Of course , their classic potato salad is always welcome. I am the meat eater in the family but those beets are amazing ... a must try. You'll thank me later. ”
“ One of the best sandwiches I've found in the area. Inside it's exactly like what you would expect to see at an Italian Deli with tons of bread, spreads, meats, cheeses, veggies, etc. They have items besides sandwiches but I haven't been able to get myself to try anything else because they are just that good. They have some specials listed, but I always go custom. And believe it or not, they can make a darn good meatless sandwich since they actually have solid veggie options unlike most delis. On top of that everything they have is just so fresh, especially the mutz. I always customize my own and have never been disappointed with what I've gotten - they really have everything here and there's no other deli that's even remotely close to the area that has this good of a selection. If I have a complaint it's the price. Has crept up to over $18 per sandwich which is steeper than I'm comfortable with so I don't come as often as I used to. However, it is worth mentioning that their portions are huge so it can be shareable. The line can be pretty long though so keep that in mind especially if you come during the lunch rush, but it moves relatively quickly. Staff is very patient which is always appreciated. ”
“ Great small take out and deli here in Denville. Service is fast. Plenty of workers. They have good lunch options with "by the pound" and sandwiches made to order. Had the sandwich with ham and olives and it was a mouthful of flavor! The olives were not bitter and had a good strong olive taste. I would definitely recommend coming here at least once and I will be back! ”
